Through linguistic, textual, contextual and rhetorical analyses, the book attempts to capture, as much as possible, the constituent elements of the lofty station of the Messenger ﷺ in the divine sight. To describe this unmatched standing, the Qur’an displays a wide range of styles, linguistic and rhetorical devices, coupled with a remarkable selection of the most precise and eloquent particles, words, phrases and expressions. Beyond the literal meaning, a comprehensive linguistic and rhetorical approach is adopted throughout the book to uncover the subtle, layered and often hidden significance. It is hoped that the book will contribute to a more profound understanding of the unique moral and spiritual qualities of the Messenger ﷺ and his unparalleled standing in the sight of the Divine.
