Welcome to our latest newsletter, as we rejoice in embracing the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal; the month in which the Best of Creation, Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ, the Spring of our hearts and the Light of our lives ﷺ entered and graced this earth, filling it with his beauty, light, nobility, peace and mercy ﷺ. for the whole world to be immersed in.
RECEIVING THE MONTH OF RABI’ AL-AWWAL ﷺ
Sayyidi Habib Umar bin Hafiz (may Allah protect him and benefit us by him) said “When Rabi’d al-Awwal comes, open your heart to receive the divine outpouring and to attain closeness to Allah ﷻ and His Beloved ﷺ. Do not place anything above him ﷺ. We have not been permitted to love anyone or anything, however great, as much as him ﷺ.
This is the month in which the Beloved ﷺ emerged into the world – the blessing was completed, the earth was illuminated…. Seek spiritual gifts through purifying your heart. Establish gatherings in every room in your house in which Allah ﷻ is remembered, in which the Mawlid and Sirah are read.”
BEING WITH ALLAH ﷻ AND HIS MESSENGER ﷺ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “A person is with the one they love.” You can gauge your love for Allah ﷻ and His Messenger ﷺ by gauging how much you are with them.
The Companions and the pious people of this Ummah were constantly with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in all their states. One of the Companions repeated three times, addressing the Prophet ﷺ: “I love Allah ﷻ and His Messenger ﷺ!” He replied ﷺ on each occasion: “You are with the one you love.”
Habib Umar binAbd al-Rahman al-`Attas asked: “How can he ﷺ be absent from us when he ﷺ is the source of our existence?” In other words, without him ﷺ, we do not exist.
These people reached the highest stations of being with the Beloved ﷺ .
So do not claim to love him ﷺ and then depart from him ﷺ. Are you with him ﷺ in emulating his character ﷺ? If you truly loved him ﷺ you would be with him ﷺ. Do you think being with him ﷺ is only in the next life? That which will be manifest in the next life is only that which is stored up in this life. If you want to be with him ﷺ there, be certain that you have to be with him ﷺ here.”

THE IMPORTANCE OF CHARITY IN RABI’ AL-AWWAL
The Prophet ﷺ was known for his generosity and compassion, especially towards the less fortunate. By giving in charity during this month, we not only purify our wealth but also follow in his blessed footsteps ﷺ.

This is a beautiful way of bringing knowledge, faith and hope to muslim prisoners in the UK and to reap the rewards of spreading sacred knowledge to those in need too in sha Allah.
UPDATES / NEWS
We are finalising the second edition of “Spiritual Significance in Islamic Architecture” book and hope to send it off to print in the next few weeks in sha Allah. We are also in the process of working on another book about all the historic sites of Makkah al-Mukaramah and Madinah al-Munawarrah, which will be a wonderful accompaniment for those travelling for hajj or umrah in the future in sha Allah.
As mentioned above, we are about to launch a campaign to raise funds to “Bring Knowledge, Faith and Hope to Muslims in Prison.” More details are to follow in the next week in sha Allah.
